Nullabor Done! (Bean)

So after a night in the Roadhouse carpark we woke to a frost covering stuff. IMG_0819.JPG

Actually it wasnt a bad place. The generator wasnt too noisy and the roadtrains made everything authentic. Counting how many gears they are going through as they leave the Roadhouse our arrive is rather like counting sheep when trying to get to sleep.

In the morning the mail plane landed by our tent:

Then I decided to lean on things for some reason:

Oh here are some pics of the Bight. I realised I had a polariser on and it was set wrong. Stupid me. Anyway:

Another long drive with very long stretches of road. We did the 90mile stretch without a bend (about 146km) it was like, well, a very straight long road. You've seen some pics so you get the idea.

Ok so we fast forward to Esperance. I was truly knackered on arrival but the place looked promising and so far it has indeed been very pleasant. We have bought a tarp to rig up an annex in case it rains as our shelter will leak. We might have gone slightly overboard but we think it might work:

The mozzies here are huge! Seriously one landed on me and flattened me to the floor. If one was to bite me I reckon I would be so bloodless that I'd be see through.

We had Piggy lit yesterday evening and we watched a youth near the camp kitchen smoke and spit. Actually he spat so much i figured I should offer him some water in case he was dehydrating.

I didn't of course. Disgusting cretin.

We went off today for a little explore (and a bit of a shop - Esperance has a good opportunity for some retail therapy).

We went to Grande Beach (in a national park thing) which was pretty cool: You could get there by beach or road:

We stopped on the way back so Al could take some photos of dead trees.

While that happened I saw a flock of Sandy Oyster Snipes flying South East for the holiday.

Although I could be very much mistaken.

They aren't mozzies though because they are too small.

I'm sure I've forgotten something important. Ah well. Until the morrow then.
