My first phone post which, given the techy issues I've been battling today (car media system spent most of the drive from Denmark to Marg River pretending to connect to my phone and ignoring all instructions to do anything else) will of course turn out well, along with the warm balmy air and cloudless skies of course ...
So. The drive was very tree-y for the first couple of hours.
Then, after a nice lunch in Bridgetown and too much time spent in the lollie shop (hello Edinburgh rock, rhubarb and custards, cola sours and fudge.... and no tears - well only a few small drips and some barely heard whimpering sobs- because toffee and sugared almonds are now dentally off-limits), the last stint saw.... more trees.
Then we got to the coast and had waves and wind. You could have flown a kite!
Bean learnt all about the different breaks off Surfers Point ... because this will be vital information for.....
And then took LOTS of pictures (into the sun, which has been doing that 'get behind the subject because who wants more than a silhouette?' thing recently with his bird shots as well) of the surfers at the rookie end of the point, according to the aforementioned map.
And I took one shot of that light too, when I could persuade my hands to part company with my pockets.
Did I mention it was a bit cold and windy?
Here's the trees again. There were really rather a lot.
